Julie graduated with her BS in Criminal Justice from Indiana University in 1992 and her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University in 2004.Julie obtained her clinical license in Social Work in 2010. Julie is passionate about working with children and families to help them understand the symptoms of their diagnosis, challenges they may be facing and strengths in order to develop the coping skills,de-escalation skills and emotional regulation tools they need to get through day to day life. Julie has several years of experience working with a variety of mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, social challenges, ADHD, trauma, family issues, relational issues, mood disorders, Autism, children and families of divorce, self esteem and more). Julie uses a collaborative, client centered, strength based approach in working with children and their families. Julie also works as a Community School Based Therapist in an elementary school where she provides children with therapy and skills training in order to help children become more successful.
Outside of school Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 boys, reading, participating in a women’s bible group, hanging out with friends, watching TV and spending time outside in the summer.
