Kayla seeks to help individuals and families experience healing, growth and restoration in their relationships and lives by developing a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship, and providing empathy, encouragement and empowerment to clients. She strives to image God’s character, concerns, and compassion to her clients, displaying a deep appreciation and respect for human beings that is grounded in God’s love for them. She seeks to walk alongside her clients to help them identify their values and purpose as well as develop tools to achieve their personal goals. Kayla strongly believes that although a child or adolescent may be the identified client, parental and family involvement are an important part of the therapeutic process that help promote change and healing for the client and family as a whole.
Kayla has experience working in school-based and partial in-patient settings as well as private practice. Kayla works with a variety of concerns including anger management, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, emotional, relational and behavioral problems, family and peer relationship issues, life transitions, school-related problems, and struggles with self-esteem.
