Liann earned her Bachelor’s degree in Youth, Adult, and Family Services from Purdue University in 2010 and earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Indiana University in 2014. Liann is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Liann specializes in working with children and adolescents, but also enjoys working with adults. Specifically, Liann enjoys working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, OCD, and/or trauma. Liann uses trauma informed care with all of her clients and incorporates CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing. Liann teaches coping skills, de-escalation techniques, and emotion regulation alongside of her processing time in sessions to help clients learn to be successful at managing emotions on their own. Liann uses role-play, art therapy, and other experiential therapies as part of her work with clients. Liann also works as a school social worker for Indianapolis Public Schools and enjoys impacting the lives of elementary school students.
Outside of counseling, Liann enjoys playing soccer, running, spending time at church, and helping her friends with their young children.
